Reporting to the Director, Finance Business Partner (FBP), the Financial Analyst supports TC Media Books and its divisions by providing financial analyses that assist in decision making. You will participate in the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget as well as quarterly forecasts. You will contribute to various process improvement projects and the creation of dashboards. You will also produce analyses that help identify financial impacts and guide decisions for TC Media Books.

 

Hybrid work model. Our offices are located at 5800 St‑Denis Street (across from Rosemont metro).

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

• Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of financial data to assess performance and profitability.
• Prepare financial reports and KPIs, highlighting trends and variances.
• Contribute to analyses and reports requested by internal and external auditors or government authorities.
• Collaborate with accounting teams and various divisions to support financial processes.
• Participate in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and management presentations.
• Work with operational teams to support financial initiatives.
• Take part in special projects and respond to ad hoc requests from management.
• Contribute to project evaluation, monitor project progress, and conduct post project analyses for investment initiatives.

 

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred (or in progress).
• 1 to 3 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI and financial modeling are assets.
• Bilingual in French and English
