We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Production to lead all operational aspects of production delivery, workflow optimization, resource allocation, and quality control across print, digital and packaging. This role manages production teams, ensuring seamless execution from project intake to final delivery, drive continuous improvement, support key client relationships, and play a key role in developing scalable, future-ready production strategies.

 

The ideal candidate is bilingual in French and English and can be based in either our Montréal office at 1500 Jules-Poitras Blvd., Saint-Laurent, Québec, or our Mississauga office at 5255 Satellite Drive, Mississauga, Ontario.

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

• Provide strategic leadership across production operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and long-term growth plans.

• Oversee financial and performance metrics, applying strategic analysis to maximize operational efficiency, cost management, responsible for forecasting and supporting sustainable revenue growth.

• Lead the planning and execution of all production operations, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness across deliverables, while meeting or exceeding client expectations.

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovation in production workflows through AI integration, emerging technology adoption, and operational best practices

• Develop and implement resource plans and scheduling procedures to ensure optimal staffing and efficient workflow for both short- and long-term project timelines.

• Coach, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.

• Actively support business development initiatives, contributing to client proposals, capability presentations, and solution design alongside account teams.

• Partner with cross functional teams to develop operational strategies and realize new revenue opportunities through improved efficiency and service offerings.

• Maintain strong client relationships, serving as a point of escalation and support for account managers in delivering high-quality production outcomes.

• Manage project execution across teams, leading stakeholder meetings, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring alignment to timelines and goals.

• Drive a culture of innovation and change, encouraging new ways of thinking across production, team management, and operational processes.

• Ensure adherence to all safety, sustainability, and compliance requirements within production operations.

• Support succession planning and talent development, identifying high-potential employees and preparing them for future leadership roles.

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

• You have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Graphic Arts Management or Operations/Manufacturing/Technology. MBA Preferred.

• You will have minimum of 10 years’ experience of progressive leadership experience within print, packaging, content, or marketing services managing manager level direct reports with the demonstrated ability to cultivate talent, coach and facilitate change

• Specialize certification related to project management (i.e. “PMP certification”) is an asset.

• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship management skills

• Demonstrated success with KPI tracking, process optimization, and timely delivery of complex deliverables

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the financial, accounting, and operational functions within the organization to make strong business decisions

• Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) is required as regular communication and collaboration with teams and stakeholders in Canada.
