Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates all plant activities related to shipping and receiving while supervising and directing the warehouse team.

 

Responsibilities

You will:

 

  • Collaborate with internal teams, logistic partners, freight forwarders, couriers, warehouse companies and customs agencies.
  • Negotiate costs with logistic partners to optimize shipment, transportation, and warehousing services.
  • Ensure all warehouse staff work safely and follow established policies and procedures.
  • Support the warehouse team by booking shipments, receive incoming deliveries and prepare loads for shipment.
  • Monitor compliance of warehouse activities in line with company food-safe, quality, and security programs.
  • Ensure warehouse/shipping supply inventory is kept at optimal levels.
  • Oversee physical inventory management and flow of raw materials and finished goods to best support production.
  • Manage performance reviews and ongoing development opportunities for staff.
  • Audit the warehouse, shipping areas and equipment for three buildings and report deficiencies as per company policies and WorkSafe regulations.
  • Champion the company’s C-TPAT program.
  • Be responsible for the daily cleanliness of all docks and warehouse areas.
  • Communicate with and support customers and the sales team as required.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in inventory management and labor cost reduction.
  • Perform other related duties as required to meet the needs of the business

 

 

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a shipping & receiving oriented manufacturing environment; 3+ years supervising employees.
  • Experienced and certified forklift operator (Counterbalance & Narrow Aisle).
  • Minimum three years of experience in cross-border logistics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Embrace a safety-first culture.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of GFSI & CTPAT programs.
  • Proficient time management and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple and fast-changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates professionalism with customers, suppliers, and employees at every level of the organization.
